Unlike most apps, FlipFocus is truly privacy-first:

• No personal data collection - We don't ask for or store your name, email, or any personal details
• No flashcard content access - Your cards stay on your device only
• No learning analytics sent to us - All statistics are computed locally
• No behavioral tracking - We don't track how you use the app
• No location data - We never access your location

Local Data Storage

FlipFocus stores all your data locally on your device:

• Flashcard decks - Stored in app's private database
• Study progress - FSRS algorithm data stays local
• Settings and preferences - Saved on your device
• Media (images, audio) - Stored locally

This data is not backed up to any cloud service unless you explicitly use local backup/export features.

Optional Features That May Use Network

Some optional features may connect to external services:

• Text-to-Speech - Uses your device's TTS engine (may connect to system services)
• Translation - If enabled, sends text to translation service
• OCR Scanning - Processed on-device using ML Kit
• Google Sign-In - Optional, only for backup ownership identification

Advertising

If the App displays ads:

• Ad providers may process data to deliver ads and measure performance
• This is subject to the ad provider's privacy policy
• You can remove ads with Premium subscription

Your Rights

• Full data ownership - You own all content you create
• Export anytime - Use backup feature to take your data
• Delete instantly - Uninstall the app to remove all data
• No deletion requests needed - Since we don't have your data, there's nothing to request deletion of

Children's Privacy

FlipFocus is suitable for all ages. Since we don't collect personal information, there are no special concerns regarding children's data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
