Local-first scorekeeping

KourtQ is built for local pickleball scoring. No account is required, KourtQ does not run a NekoCode cloud sync backend, and match data is designed to stay on the device unless you choose to share or export it.

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how KourtQ ("we," "our," or "us") handles information when you use the KourtQ iOS app and Apple Watch companion experience.

Information KourtQ Processes

KourtQ may process information you enter or generate while scoring, including:

  • Player names, team assignments, and local player profile details
  • Match setup choices, scoring rules, serve state, rally actions, and game results
  • Local match history, score summaries, and app preferences
  • Apple Watch companion state needed to mirror scoring controls from the paired iPhone

Where Data Is Stored

  • KourtQ stores scoring data locally on your device
  • No NekoCode account is required for the core scoring flow
  • We do not upload your match history, player list, or scoring data to a NekoCode cloud backend
  • The Apple Watch companion uses paired-device communication to show and send scoring state

Sharing and Third Parties

Data may leave your device only in limited cases:

  • If you use a device share sheet, export feature, screenshot, or support message
  • If you open external support, website, App Store, or system links
  • If Apple processes diagnostics, crash reports, store analytics, or app distribution data under Apple policies

We do not sell your personal information.

Analytics and Advertising

  • KourtQ does not include a third-party advertising SDK in the current iOS app
  • KourtQ does not require third-party analytics for the core scoring flow
  • Apple may provide App Store and device diagnostics data according to your device and Apple account settings

Permissions

KourtQ may use network access for app resources, support links, store services, or platform features. The Apple Watch companion uses Apple system frameworks for paired-device score controls. KourtQ does not require location, camera, microphone, or contacts access for core scorekeeping.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • Local data stays on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall KourtQ
  • If you export or share files, you control where those files go and how they are deleted
  • If you contact support, we keep the message only as long as needed to respond and maintain support records

Children's Privacy

KourtQ is a scorekeeping utility and does not knowingly collect children's personal information through a NekoCode cloud backend. Parents or guardians can remove local app data by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.

International Users

Because KourtQ does not operate a user cloud backend for match data, NekoCode does not perform its own cross-border transfers of your match history. Third-party services you choose to use may process data under their own policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when KourtQ, platform requirements, or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date.
